Now that the evenings have grown darker. I have decided to use some of this winter period to go through the images I have taken this year with the objective of deleting the crap and to and actually sit down and process the RAW files. With the commitments of the rat race it is sometimes hard to find the time to do this.
But when you do look back, it’s amazing how images you thought worked never actually did and it is nice to be suprised by an image that has worked which you had totally forgot you had taken.
This abstract image of bird prints in the sand was an image I had forgotten all about. The image was taken on a beach in County Kerry as I sat in the company of birds waiting for a Hollywood style shot that never happened.
The resulting image is not my usual style but as an image I like the subtleness off the final result. If I had of been shooting film I would likely not have taken this image. But in this digital age where memory is cheap, it never hurts to experiment.
