Free Lightroom presets

As readers of my blog & "In the Field" may have noticed I have been having fun  rediscovering the joys of toned black and white images. Last week I created a series of toned images in my Autumns end series. 

In that series I used Lightroom to create some toned presets. Two of the presets can be downloaded here.

Autumns End

Last week as early winter frosts set in I set myself a small project of photographing fallen Autumn. The goal of this project was to create a set of toned Black and White images that depicted decaying leaves covered in frost.

For the project I had to photograph the leaves as I found them. I wasn't allowed to remove any surrounding clutter, or move leaves to other locations.

New Canon 5DMK11

Well I just took delivery of my new Canon 5D Mark11 last night. My initial reactions are good, it feels solid, good to hold and the view finder is nice and bright. 

Sadly I can see my old 1D MK11 getting less and less use. A pity - but in this day where stock agencies are looking larger files an upgrade was essential.

I will be putting the camera through its paces over the next few days, so hopefully my favourable reaction will continue.
